Punjab Boards to Recruit Staff After 15-Year Gap

Punjab has begun a recruitment drive to fill long-vacant posts across educational boards, addressing
staffing gaps that in some cases have continued for around 15 years. Vacancies include administrative
and technical roles such as computer programmer, assistant, senior computer operator, deputy
secretary and assistant secretary.

The Lahore Board alone is expected to recruit for 33 posts in grades 16 and 17, while other boards,
including Faisalabad, are also part of the process. Appointments are to be made through the Punjab
Public Service Commission to maintain a standardized merit-based recruitment route.

For job seekers, the key point is that board vacancies should be verified through PPSC advertisements
rather than third-party job pages. Candidates should check qualifications, domicile requirements, age
limits and closing dates for each post. The recruitment may also improve examination-board
administration by reducing dependence on acting or additional-charge arrangements.
