Lahore Deploys Extra Traffic Staff Near 200 Schools
Lahore Traffic Police has introduced a special traffic-management plan around educational
institutions, deploying wardens outside more than 200 schools on busy roads and adding 100 extra
response and patrolling units on major routes.
Additional deployment covers key corridors including Mall Road, Jail Road, Ferozepur Road, Main
Boulevard Gulberg, Wahdat Road and Canal Road. Officers have also been directed to coordinate with
school and college administrations during opening and closing hours.
Only single-line parking is to be allowed outside schools at dismissal time, while enforcement is
planned against double parking and roadside obstructions. Traffic Police also intends to revive
student traffic-scout activities and road-safety awareness sessions. Parents should allow extra travel
time during peak hours and follow school-specific pickup arrangements to reduce congestion.
