HEC Sets HAT Test for Overseas Scholarships

The Higher Education Commission has scheduled the Higher Education Aptitude Test for applicants to
overseas MS, MPhil and PhD scholarship programs for Sunday, September 27, 2026. The update was
issued through a corrigendum to the scholarship advertisement released earlier in August.

Candidates will be able to download HAT roll-number slips from September 17 through HEC’s
Education Testing Council portal. Applicants should check the venue, reporting time and examination
instructions printed on the slip and should not rely on screenshots forwarded through unofficial
groups.

HEC has also clarified the correct online scholarship application portal. Students applying for
overseas funding should keep the testing portal and scholarship portal separate, because completing
one process does not automatically complete the other. All original scholarship conditions remain
subject to HEC’s official advertisement and subsequent corrections.
