Sindh University Awards Rs525m Scholarships to Students
The University of Sindh, Jamshoro, has distributed scholarships worth Rs. 525.77 million among 1,074
students in one of its largest financial-aid distributions. The awards were funded through different
government departments and were presented at the university’s main convention venue.
Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah, HEC Sindh Chairman Dr S. M. Tariq Rafi and ViceChancellor Prof. Dr Fateh Muhammad Marri participated in the ceremony.
The initiative is significant for students who may otherwise struggle to meet tuition and study-related costs.
The event also highlighted the need for stronger career counselling before university admission.
Education officials argued that students should choose fields based on aptitude, interests and future
opportunities rather than family pressure alone.
For applicants seeking scholarships, Taleem Nama
recommends following official university and government notices closely because eligibility,
documentation and deadlines can differ across schemes.
